Toaplan Shooters Vol 2 - Grind Stormer

The weapon switching mechanic keeps every run fresh, and the way enemy fire fills the screen without ever feeling unfair is a real treat. I've sunk hours into this arcade port and the controls translate perfectly to my home setup.

The bullet-hell intensity is exactly what I remember from the arcade, and having it on my couch makes every near-miss feel twice as sweet. The ship’s hitbox is tight enough that I actually feel skilled threading through walls of enemy fire, not just lucky.

My thumbs were cramping by stage three and I couldn’t stop grinning—the ship movement feels just as tight and responsive as I remember from the arcade cabinet. Having this on the TV at home without needing a pocketful of quarters is honestly a dream come true for a shmup fan.
